The Legal COE encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology.
Law Student, preferably first or second year and with an interest in transactional practice, will gain valuable experience by assisting the Legal Department’s corporate working group with a variety of projects ranging from securities compliance and Exchange Act reporting, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and franchise law issues. Will have the opportunity to work directly with attorneys and business stakeholders and gain real-world in-house legal experience.
Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes:
- Legal research (Westlaw, Lexis, etc.) and general industry research.
- Drafting memoranda and other written materials for legal department and legal guidelines for internal business partners, particularly in developing areas such as autonomous vehicles and mobility business models.
- Drafting and revising agreements and closing documents for franchise, M&A and commercial transactions.
- Assistance with transaction closings.
- Review company policies for compliance with legal standards.
- Organization of database of legal agreements.
Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited institution.
- GPA of 3.0. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- May/June start time.

The internship is located in our Estero, Florida HQ location. The successful intern will be exposed to all facets of the Legal organization.
