LaSalle Network is in search of a Human Resources Intern to work full time during the summer for our downtown Chicago office. As a Human Resources Intern you will be responsible for supporting the dedicated five person human resources team and the Chief Human Resources Officer, interacting and learning directly from experienced professionals. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure in a fast-paced environment while developing human resources experience. Successful candidates may receive a permanent offer or will receive post-internship job placement assistance at one of LaSalle’s 3,000 clients that range from Fortune 100’s to high-growth startups.
 
 
Human Resources Intern Responsibilities:
  • Create new hire packets for new employees for the onboarding process
  • Assist HR Coordinator/Assistant with gathering appropriate paperwork to conduct background checks
  • Assist with daily I9 audit 
  • Update HR file with employee address changes
  • Assist HR Manager and Chief Human Resources Officer with various projects
  • Make photocopies, fax documents and perform other clerical functions
  • File papers and documents into appropriate employee files
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
 
 
Human Resources Intern Requirements:
·        Currently majoring in Human Resources or similar field
·        Available to work in our Loop office 35-40 hours per week during the summer
·        Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
·        Exceptional work ethic and drive to succeed
·        Highly proficient in technical/computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
