Physics/ Aerospace Intern at SOFWERX - Spring 2019

Requirements:
− MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
− Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar major at a local accredited university
− Junior or Senior level, with a current GPA of 3.0 or above
− Strong background in physics
− Strong background in autonomous systems
− Strong analytical skills
− Experience working with a variety of engineering students
− Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
− Good planning and organizational skills
− Must be willing and able to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
− Must be able to lift 35 lbs
− This position requires a minimum of 15 hours per week and a maximum of 20 hours per week
Responsibilities:
− Working with Doolittle to design, prototype, and test aerospace equipment
− Assist with conducting research on related technology focused topics
− Consult and engage with subject matter experts

Rate of Pay:
− $13 – $15 per hour depending on experience and year in school
− Opportunity for follow-on internship based on performance
