Medical Clinic Intern - Premed, Biology, Nursing, Psychology, and Public Health

See below for quarter information.*** The Golden Gate Institute for Integrative Medicine (GGIIM) offers a 3-month internship to undergrad and post baccalaureate students interested in gaining solid experience to complement their studies and prepare them to meet their career ambitions in the clinical/medical/public health/nursing field. Well-established Silicon Valley medical clinic. We have been working with students for many years in the Bay Area.
Functional duties include assisting physicians with scribing (you will be interviewing patients directly), minor office duties, and medical writing and editing.
*** Please note this is an unpaid internship and housing will not be provided. *** Internship timeframes are set quarterly. 1st Quarter: Jan-Feb-March. 2nd Quarter: Apr-May-June, 3rd Quarter: Jul-Aug-Sep, 4th Quarter: Oct-Nov-Dec. Please submit resume, genuine cover letter, and references. Our interns are usually on-site in San Carlos and Pleasanton, and occasional remote (online) and fieldwork projects are also possible during the internship. 100% telecommuting is not possible so please do not apply if you are not going to be in the Bay Area for 3 months in a row during the quarter mentioned. Preference will be given to candidates with (at the very minimum) some science/medical background who multitask under minimal supervision and have excellent communication skills. Shifts are 9-5 and interns must be able to do the full 3 months at 16 hours (two weekdays) per week.
