Reporting & Insights Intern

The Reporting and Insights Intern is responsible for providing analytical support to the product management team and other cross-functional departments across the company, ultimately impacting the overall success of the department. In addition to market research support, the intern contributes to a specific Intern Group Project to gain company-wide perspective and develop a solution to enhance the business.

 

Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

·         Completes short-term store training designed to gain experience and perspective in retail store operations.

Departmental Duties (approximately 80% time dedication)

·         Gathers feedback directly from guests and store associates at stores throughout the regions. Conducts guest intercepts in the field and compiles analyses of collected survey data.

  • Utilizes vendor and syndicated data to determine trends in the industry while highlighting potential opportunities for RaceTrac teams and calculating market share across various categories.
  • Analyzes and benchmarks key competitors inside and outside of operational markets.

·         Carries out various project support functions as requested by the hiring manager.

Special Projects Intern Group Project (approximately 20% time dedication)

·         Collaborates with other intern group team members to create and develop a business plan for a specific company-wide initiative determined by senior leaders.

·         Utilizes internal resources and project sponsors to obtain strategic insight and gain buy-in from internal stakeholders.

·         Prepares a business presentation to showcase to senior management at the conclusion of the internship.
