Part-time, about 10 hours/week · $15–$19/hour depending on experience, paid bi-weekly
About FreeFly
FreeFly connects communities with free, zero-emission transit, funded by the institutions that serve them. We run all-electric micro-transit zones for senior living communities, hospitals, employers and developers across Greater Boston, replacing car trips and diesel shuttles with free electric rides.
What you'll do
- Research how electric micro-transit is bought and run in Massachusetts: public contracts, service models and performance standards
- Build research profiles of organizations that could adopt zero-emission transit for their residents, patients or employees
- Analyze transit access gaps (MBTA coverage, distances, shift times) that push people into cars
- Write blog posts and LinkedIn content on clean transportation and transit equity
- Present your findings to the founder at the end of the semester
What you'll learn
- Market research and competitive analysis in a clean-tech startup
- B2B marketing and content strategy
- How transportation electrification gets funded and adopted
- Direct mentorship from the founder and CEO, with weekly 1:1s
Who we're looking for
- Undergraduate or graduate student in marketing, business, environmental studies, urban planning, public health, communications or a related field
- Strong writer; organized; comfortable with spreadsheets
- Curious about climate, cities or transportation
- Available 10 hours/week, mostly flexible around classes
Academic credit is welcome where your school offers it.
