 Social Media & Marketing Intern at Strongbox Theater — East Rockaway, NY $17/hour

-On-site About Us Strongbox Theater is an independent black box theater in a historic bank building on Main Street in East Rockaway, with a full bar and kitchen. We produce and host live theater, and we're building our audience from the ground up. This is a small operation — the work you do here actually gets seen. 

The Role: You'll work directly with our Marketing Director on the day-to-day of our social presence. This is a real assist role, not a coffee run. Specifically: Draft and design social posts for Instagram and Facebook Create content around our productions — photos, short video, behind-the-scenes, cast spotlights Build and manage the posting schedule so content goes out on time and on rhythm Monitor comments and messages, flag anything that needs a response, and reply where appropriate Help track what's working and what isn't What We're Looking For Currently enrolled college student — marketing, communications, theater, film, and design majors all welcome, but we care more about instinct than major Comfortable and current on Instagram and Facebook as a creator, not just a scroller Can write a clean sentence and has an eye for a good image Reliable about deadlines — posts going out on schedule is half the job Interest in live theater is a plus Basic Canva, CapCut, or similar editing skills are a plus Details $17/hour, paid 3–4 hours per week, flexible around your class schedule Semester-long, with the possibility of continuing This is an on-site position at our theater in East Rockaway — there is no remote option. Much of the work is capturing content in the space and around our productions, so you need to be here.
