Location: Remote Employment Type: Part-Time, 10 hours/week

About the Role

We're looking for a sharp-eyed Freelance Proofreader to review and polish written content before it goes out the door. You'll be the last line of defense — catching typos, grammar slips, inconsistencies, and formatting issues across a range of materials. The work matters: clean, credible copy builds trust with readers.

What you'll do

- Review toolkit, articles, marketing copy, web content, and other documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style errors 

-Flag inconsistencies in tone, terminology, and formatting - Apply style guides (AP, Chicago, or in-house) consistently across documents  

- Return marked-up files with clear, actionable notes using tracked changes or editorial comments 

- Communicate turnaround timelines and flag anything that needs a second look

About you

- Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and style - Comfortable working with AP Style - Detail-oriented to a fault — you notice things others miss - Able to manage your own schedule and hit deadlines without hand-holding - Experience with Google Docs, Microsoft Word tracked changes, or similar tools - Prior proofreading or copyediting experience preferred, whether professional, academic, or freelance

Nice to have

- Familiarity with content management systems or publishing workflows - Background in cosmetics/beauty  - Experience with style sheet creation or maintaining house style guides
