UI/UX Design Intern

UI/UX Design Intern, SettleWiz (Remote USA) About SettleWiz

SettleWiz is an early-stage B2B SaaS that helps Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) sellers understand their real profit. Sellers deal with scattered settlement reports, layered fees, and purchase order and shipment data that rarely line up. SettleWiz reconciles all of it into clear P&L views and analytics. We're a small founder-led team, so your designs go to real users fast.

About the role

You'll design the seller-facing product that has UI built using Claude Code. This is a learning-focused internship for students and career-changers who want a real shipped B2B product in their portfolio, direct founder mentorship, and ownership of meaningful design work.

What you'll work on

  • Reconciliation views that show how settlement payments, fees, and orders tie together
  • Data-heavy tables for purchase orders, shipments, and settlements (sorting, filtering, status indicators)
  • Fee and margin breakdowns that make complex cost structures easy to read
  • P&L dashboards and charts that answer "what did I actually earn?" at a glance
  • Onboarding and navigation flows for first-time sellers
  • A lightweight design system in Figma (color, typography, components)
  • Short interviews with Walmart marketplace sellers to validate designs
  • Handoff to developers, including specs and answering implementation questions

What you'll gain

  • A token stipend
  • A published case study on a real, data-heavy B2B SaaS product
  • Ability to apply coursework to real work scenario
  • Experience in financial and analytics UX
  • A letter of recommendation and LinkedIn endorsement on successful completion
  • Academic credit where your school allows it (we'll complete the paperwork)

What we're looking for

  • A student or recent graduate in design, HCI, or a related field, or a self-taught designer with a portfolio
  • Working knowledge of Figma
  • A portfolio of class, personal, or professional projects
  • Interest in dashboards, data visualization, fintech, or e-commerce
  • Clear communication and comfort giving and receiving feedback

Nice to have: basic HTML/CSS, user-research experience, familiarity with Walmart, Amazon, or other seller tools.

Details

  • Duration: 10-12 weeks
  • Commitment: 8-10 hours per week, flexible schedule
  • Location: Remote (U.S. time)
  • Compensation: Will pay token stipend (at the midpoint and at successful completion)
  • Tools: Figma (free Education or Starter plan is sufficient)
