About Competitive Advantage
Competitive Advantage has been helping athletes strengthen their mental game and reach their potential for over 40 years. Founded by Dr. Alan Goldberg and now led by his daughter, Sara Vatore, the company is entering an exciting new chapter of growth through The Competitive Depth Method™—an approach that brings together mental performance training and nervous system science to help athletes overcome blocks and fears and access their potential.
We've recently launched a redesigned website and e-commerce store featuring nearly 500 product listings across 36 sports, including digital and physical resources, programs, and packages for athletes, parents, and coaches.
We also have an extensive library of articles, blogs, podcasts, quizzes, and educational content developed over four decades. There's tremendous potential to bring these resources to new audiences!

The Opportunity
We're looking for a creative, motivated, detailed oriented, Digital Marketing & Content Manager who loves sports and gets excited about growing a business.
This is an opportunity to take an established brand, decades of valuable content, and an extensive product catalog and help turn them into a thriving digital marketing and e-commerce presence.
We want someone who can think strategically, bring fresh ideas, take creative ownership, and execute!
You'll work directly with the business owner to develop marketing strategies, organize campaigns, expand our digital presence, and drive sales across our product catalog.
We're looking for someone who sees opportunities, takes initiative, and gets excited about making a measurable impact on a growing business.
What You'll Do
The responsibilities below reflect the scope of the role over time, not expectations for day one. We'll start with a focused set of priorities and gradually expand responsibilities as you become familiar with the business, our resources, and our audience. There's room to grow in hours, creative ownership, and independence as the role develops.
- Develop and manage a monthly marketing calendar that coordinates campaigns across our website, email, and social media channels.
- Bring fresh ideas for marketing campaigns and growth opportunities, including exploring new platforms (such as TikTok), audiences, and approaches to expand our reach.
- Drive e-commerce growth by developing campaigns that increase product visibility and sales, promoting products, bundles, and special offers across different sports, audiences, and seasons.
- Leverage our extensive library of articles, podcasts, videos, and educational resources, identifying opportunities to refresh, repurpose, and connect existing content with relevant products and services.
- Manage and develop our blog, including writing new articles, updating evergreen content, and applying SEO best practices to improve visibility and organic traffic.
- Develop and implement a Pinterest strategy that complements our blog and content marketing efforts, driving traffic to articles, quizzes, resources, and products.
- Create and manage engaging, on-brand content (including graphics, carousels, and short-form videos) and community engagement across our current social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Plan and create engaging email campaigns that educate subscribers, share valuable resources, and promote relevant products and offers.
- Identify opportunities to grow our email list and strengthen relationships with subscribers through consistent, relevant communication.
- Take ownership of marketing projects from concept through execution, managing timelines, deliverables, content creation, scheduling, and publishing.
- Track and report on marketing performance, including audience growth, website traffic, social media engagement, email performance, and product sales, using insights to improve future campaigns.
- Collaborate with the business owner on strategy, priorities, messaging, and approvals while independently managing day-to-day marketing activities.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for sports! Whether you're a current or former athlete, a sports enthusiast, or someone deeply interested in athletic performance, we want someone who connects with the world we serve.
- A creative, proactive, and self-directed individual who brings fresh ideas, identifies opportunities, and takes ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and persuasive content across blogs, email, and social media.
- A strong visual eye, with experience creating professional, on-brand graphics and content using Canva or similar tools.
- A solid understanding of digital marketing, social media, and audience engagement, including how different channels can support business growth and sales.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating effectively and incorporating feedback.
- Experience with email marketing, Pinterest, SEO, analytics, and/or e-commerce is a plus.
- Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is excited to contribute, eager to bring ideas to the table, and motivated to make a real impact.
