About Alya

  • Food-as-medicine brand: a daily shot of lab-tested, organic, high-polyphenol olive oil from our family grove in Testour, Tunisia
  • Sold DTC, with wholesale and retail growing
  • Small NYC team where you'll work directly with the founder

The role

  • Be the founder's right hand across ops, events, and community
  • Build The Grove, Alya's community, from the ground up
  • Gracefula nd ready to do any random task that helps a small business grow but may not be listed in this JD just yet

1. Operations & Admin

  • Handle correspondence with partners, investors, and event contacts
  • Keep project management tracking up to date
  • Coordinate inventory and timelines with our 3PL
  • Create, track, and pack gifting and sample orders for doctors, KOLs, and creators
  • Maintain retail and wholesale accounts (Amazon, grocery, specialty)
  • Support email marketing and social content: must be comfortable filming, editing, and posting content, understand gen z marketing and social media.
  • Handle whatever else comes up (expect a lot)

2. Events (NYC and nationwide)

  • Plan and run tastings, pop-ups, panels, and founder dinners
  • Own logistics: venues, vendors, permits, run-of-show, and staffing
  • Capture event content and write recaps on attendance, leads, and sales

3. The Grove community

  • Launch and grow a community of Alya customers and wellness-curious New Yorkers
  • Host recurring events like tastings, run clubs, Mediterranean dinners, expert talks, and founder gatherings
  • Partner with studios, gyms, cafés, and wellness brands on co-hosted events
  • Track membership, engagement, and conversion to subscribers

You are

  • Extremely organized and proactive
  • A natural host who can run a room
  • A strong, warm writer
  • Comfortable on camera and fluent in TikTok and Instagram
  • Passionate about wellness, food as medicine, and startups

  • Start: ASAP
  • Hours: 10–20/week
  • Pay: Commensurate with experience
  • Location: NYC hybrid, with occasional evening and weekend events
