Digital Account Executive

Summary

The Digital Account Executive is responsible for selling comprehensive digital media solutions to local/regional/national accounts to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue. The DAE will be the market’s subject matter expert on digital services and the station’s core digital assets to achieve budgeted revenue goals. The Digital Account Executive will achieve this by professionally and effectively selling Alabama’s 42 Core Digital products (Display, Video, Sponsorships, etc.) and the Nexstar Digital suite of digital marketing products (Live Streaming Sports, OTT, Targeted Video & Display, Social Media, SEM, etc.), with the objective of advancing client objectives and achieving client KPI’s.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new client relationships.
  • Meet and exceed sales quota leveraging our growing suite of digital products.
  • Manage a client pipeline and revenue utilizing a CRM.
  • Create unique and customized digital media plans leveraging the full suite of digital products.
  • Research target market needs and adjust sales strategy accordingly.
  • Ensure clear understanding and interpretation of client needs, and recommend appropriate solutions, in order to meet requirements.
  • Willingness to take on additional opportunities as company expands.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of digital advertising tools in order to advise advertisers on the effective use of digital advertising investments.
  • Understanding of the online space and solution selling.
  • Strong oral, problem solving, communication, writing, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Must be well organized, display a professional demeanor, exude high energy and show attention to detail.
  • Confident, flexible multi-tasker, and able to work independently.
  • MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A valid driver's license, state mandated automobile insurance and an acceptable driving record are also required.
