Human Resources Intern
Role Purpose
This internship is a chance to see how HR works in a real services business, where our people are the service. Our services teams work across five regions, many speak Spanish as their first language, and part of the workforce is union-represented. Getting HR right for them directly affects the quality of work our clients receive. Our goal is to become a top-quartile employer in our industry, and you will play a direct part in helping us get there.
You will lead a real project, moving our HR records from paper to digital, and see it through from start to finish. Alongside it, you will work across recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance and employee relations. You will finish with practical experience, measurable results and a clear view of how HR supports a growing, frontline business.

- Audit files for missing documents (offer letters, signed handbook acknowledgments, tax forms, policy sign-offs) and track gaps on a checklist
- Help apply the records retention schedule and flag files due for review or secure destruction
- Keep a log of all files handled to protect chain of custody
Process and systems modernization (about 25% of time)

General HR exposure (about 30% of time)
- Support recruiting: post jobs, screen applications, schedule interviews
