About the Role

  • 20 hrs/week Required
  • Unpaid, 6 month program
  • Fully remote
  • IT Team
  • OPT/CPT eligible
  • Able to commit to weekly meetings (PST); Mon & Fri @10am Program Meeting, Mon @1pm Team Meeting, Wed @10:00am Professional Development.
     

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and evolution of user interfaces for PROJXON web properties and internal optimization tools.
  • Conduct user research and competitive analysis to identify UI/UX improvements for IT and consulting service platforms.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Marketing teams to ensure brand consistency and technical feasibility of designs.
  • Perform usability audits and accessibility checks to document recommendations for site performance and mobile responsiveness.
  • Help optimize landing pages and service portals for user intent, readability, and conversion.
  • Maintain and update design systems and UI kits; provide reporting on how design changes impact user engagement metrics.
  • Support ad hoc digital projects related to visual assets, website improvements, and user journey experiments.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
  • Strong interest or experience in UI/UX design, wireframing, and user-centered design principles.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage design tasks in a remote environment.
  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly, accept feedback, and support iterative improvements.
     

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with collaboration and project management tools (ClickUp, Canva, Slack).
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and how design translates to front-end development.
  • Exposure to UX research methodologies (A/B testing, heatmaps, user interviews).
  • Experience creating responsive designs for web and mobile platforms.
  • Interest in consulting, IT services, or business growth strategy.
