Social Media Intern
Work directly with Morgan Hewett, founder and CEO of Devin, as she builds one of the most exciting startups to launch out of Harvard Business School. Devin is building a smart vibrator that responds to mind and body, a sensorized, app-connected device paired with an AI-driven interactive story, made exclusively for women. We raised a $1.5M pre-seed, and our first 1,000 pre-orders sold out.
This internship is a chance to spend real time with a founder and learn how a startup gets built, while you document the process. You'll spend 4 days a month with Morgan at her home office in Brickell, filming and photographing the work and turning it into social content for Instagram and TikTok.
What you'll do:
- Shoot photo and video of Morgan and the company's day-to-day
- - Capture the founding journey and turn it into short-form social content
- - Edit and post content with the team
- - Learn firsthand how a founder raises money, builds a product, and launches a brand
Who we want: students in film, photography, documentary, visual design, digital media, marketing, or business who love making content. You don't need a portfolio.
Schedule: 4 days a month, in person in Brickell, Miami. You must live in or near Miami. Remote doesn't work for this role.
Pay: a paid, performance-based stipend at the end of the semester, based on total views across the videos you make (one payout at the highest tier you reach):
- Under 500,000 views: $500
- - 500,000 to 1 million views: $750
- - 1 million to 10 million views: $1,000
- - Over 10 million views: $5,000
To apply: look up Morgan Hewett and Devin on Instagram and TikTok, then send Morgan a short note about yourself and 2–3 ideas for social media content we could film together. Email morgan@experiencedevin.com or apply through Handshake. If you have past work (photos, videos, an Instagram or TikTok you run), feel free to include a link, but it isn't required. If you apply on Handshake, use your cover letter for your note and content ideas.
