At Beazley, our summer internship is more than an opportunity to observe. It is a chance to explore specialty insurance, contribute to meaningful work, and begin building the skills and relationships that can support a future career in underwriting. 

Whether you already know insurance or are discovering it for the first time, this 10-week paid internship provides hands-on experience, mentorship, structured development, and exposure to a global specialist insurer.

What You'll Gain

What You'll Do

During the internship, you will: 

• Work alongside experienced underwriting professionals on team-led assignments 
• Learn how underwriters assess risk, evaluate information, and support business decisions 
• Analyze data and information to identify key risk considerations 
• Support the preparation of underwriting materials, exposure profiles, and other business documentation 
• Complete an individual project and present your findings 
• Participate in workshops, networking sessions, and professional development activities 
• Build relationships with colleagues across Beazley and the wider insurance market 

Who Should Apply?

We welcome students from a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Degrees in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Mathematics, and related disciplines may be relevant, but prior insurance experience is not required. 

We're looking for students who are curious, collaborative, and motivated to learn, with an interest in solving problems and exploring a career in a dynamic, global industry.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Mathematics, or a related field
• Internship, leadership, extracurricular, or other relevant experience is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications
• Fluency in English and additional languages where required by the business
