Ticket/ Trail Manager
We are looking for an independent contractor that is energetic and able to self-manage activities on behalf of the Moreland Education Foundation (MEF) Pumpkin Patch. Primary role will be to make sure the Pumpkin Patch events & activities are operating successfully and organized. Manage this by facilitating communication between the volunteers such as; trail crew, nightly carnival manager, nightly craft manager, and pumpkin patch management. 

The Trail Manager will work with staff members under the direction of the Pumpkin Patch Project Manager(PM). We are looking to hire someone that will manage visitors and work with volunteers to create an exciting and successful fundraising event.
Responsibilities
● Must have excellent customer service stills and demonstrate them to volunteers and
customers
● Be aware of how the “front of the house” is running each night by checking in regularly
with the Grimm’s Hallow trail crew, volunteer craft manager, volunteer carnival game
manager.
● Work closely with the Patch Manager and the Financial Coordinator and assist them as
needed.
● Ensure clear communication of information and expectations with volunteers and team
members.
● Assist Set or direction to guest entertainment
● Adjust volunteer staffing between crafts and carnival to maximize bust use of volunteers
● As needed check in and direct volunteers
● Prepare supplies and equipment and ensure safe use during the event.
● Ensure clear communication of information and expectations with volunteers and team
members.
● Attend planning meetings
● Help set up the Patch in September
● Help set up or supervise set up of games before the trail opens
● Directing visitors lining up for the Haunted Trail.
● Monitor the length of the line.
● Communicate with trail volunteers to manage delays and problem solve.
● Monitor crafts table if we don’t have an adult volunteer.
● Monitor the games area if we don’t have an adult volunteer.
● Help direct the AV team and performers.
● Foster a supportive, kind, and positive mindset.
● Be on site 30 minutes before the trail opens until the last visitors are admitted.

● Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
● Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with all groups involved.
● Experience working with others.
● Attend meetings with the appropriate team members in order to perform the work
outlined above. You and the team members can work together to find mutually
acceptable times.

Time Commitment & Compensation
We are looking for a part-time contractor to perform the work starting mid October through early
November for a stipend of $2,200.
This is a contractor position and requires completion of IRS form 1099 to be paid. Must be
authorized to work in the US.
The time commitment of approximately 80 hours is expected to be as follows:
● Set up & planning: 10 hours (weekends, late September and early October)
● Event Nights: 60 hours (for 10 nights for 2026
● Properly cleaning and packing up games at the end of the Pumpkin patch and Wrap-Up
