Paid Campaign Intern for Rep. David Hackney

$20–$25/hour | 5–20 hours/week | Flexible Schedule

The David Hackney campaign is looking for motivated interns to join our team for the final stretch of the 2026 election.

This is a paid, hands-on opportunity to learn how a political campaign works, connect directly with voters, and gain experience in grassroots organizing and voter outreach. Interns will work alongside campaign staff and volunteers throughout the 11th Legislative District, including Renton, Tukwila, and parts of Kent.

What You'll Do

Door-to-door canvassing will be the primary focus of this position. Interns will:

• Talk directly with voters about David Hackney and the campaign
• Learn how to canvass and use campaign tools like MiniVAN
• Help identify and turn out supporters ahead of Election Day
• Participate in campaign events, phone banking, and other voter outreach as needed
• Work alongside campaign staff, volunteers, and other interns

No campaign experience is required. We're looking for people who are friendly, dependable, comfortable talking with others, and interested in politics, public service, organizing, or making a difference in their community. Training will be provided.

• Pay: $20–$25/hour, depending on experience
• Hours: 5–20 hours per week with flexible scheduling
• Location: Renton, Tukwila, and Kent
• Duration: September 2026 through Election Day, November 3
• College internship credit: Possible
