The gallery serves as a cultural catalyst, promoting artistic growth, interdisciplinary dialogue, and active public engagement.
The Alfa Art Gallery is looking for a passionate and creative individual who will take the lead in designing the wide range of promotional materials required to effectively reach and engage our audience. This is an academic‑credit internship, intended for students seeking to fulfill university credit requirements through hands‑on professional experience in a nonprofit arts environment.
Responsibilities
- Creative and robust design of advertising materials, including posters, banners, brochures, and related media.
- Layout and content design for Alfa’s annual catalog and individual artist catalogs.
- Setup and preparation of virtual exhibitions via ArtSteps.
- Design of introductory video pages and production of high‑quality video materials to support gallery promotion and programming.
- Provide creative input, assist with additional design‑related projects, and support general gallery operations.
Requirements
- Strong sense of typography, typesetting, and layout.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign.
- Experience with photography and image correction is a plus.
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
- Previous design experience and a portfolio will strongly influence the final decision.
