At the Old Colony YMCA, you’ll help create a fun, safe, welcoming, and educational environment where children can explore, create, laugh, play, make friends, and build meaningful relationships with caring adult role models.

As a Child Care Teacher Assistant, you’ll be an important part of a team that helps children learn and grow through engaging activities and everyday experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to build valuable skills in child development, communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving—skills that can benefit you both personally and professionally.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Help plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities.

Support a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children.

Encourage children to be creative, curious, and willing to try new things.

Help provide enrichment, physical activities, and learning experiences throughout the day.

Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff.

Follow Old Colony YMCA policies, employee expectations, and EEC regulations.

Be a positive and caring role model for the children in our program.

 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must be 18 years of age or older.

EEC Teacher Certified.

Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.

Evidence of a physical examination within the last 12 months.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Someone who is dependable, caring, enthusiastic, and ready to be part of a team!

SCHEDULE

Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Shifts range between 6:45 AM and 6:00 PM.
