About the Project:

In this role, you’ll work as part of the Cadre5 team supporting G2, a program management system that helps the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) manage complex programs and maintain visibility across its work. G2 brings together critical program information, including scope, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics, into a centralized system. This enables NNSA and its organizations to better manage programs, track performance, and support effective program oversight.

You’ll be part of a team building and enhancing software that supports a mission of national importance while solving technical and business challenges. It’s an opportunity to apply your engineering skills to work that has a meaningful, real-world impact.

Candidates must live within 90 miles of Knoxville, TN, to support weekly on-site workdays.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with team members and customers to understand requirements.
  • Accept direction from project and technical leads.
  • Willing to learn and take on new challenges, self-directed, and highly motivated.
  • Develop technical designs and/or prototypes.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document software.
  • Implement user stories with high-quality following an agile development lifecycle.
  • Willing to receive technical feedback and code reviews and to follow established standards and practices.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining documentation.
  • Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and practices relevant to work assignments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience developing software using C# and .NET.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, T-SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience developing and supporting web applications.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design and multi-tier application architecture.
  • Experience working within an Agile software development team.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule, with a preference for weekly on-site workdays in Knoxville, TN.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of applicable technical work experience.
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC and REST APIs.
  • Experience with CSS and HTML5.
  • Experience with REACT and JavaScript. Experience with comparable modern JavaScript frameworks will be considered.
  • Understanding of database normalization, indexing.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing.
  • Experience with Git and pull-request-based development.
