Target audience: Undergraduate students in Business, Sales, or Entrepreneurship at local Greater Boston/Waltham-area colleges looking for hands-on B2B sales and commercial startup experience.

Folia Materials is an award-winning cleantech using advanced paper coating technology as our platform super material. Folia’s paper microwave reheat packaging improves microwave food quality and sustainability. Position Overview
This role will perform strategic prospect qualification, pipeline management, outreach and sales support, and pilot project management for Folia Material’s food packaging.
Because learning the technical nuances around our culinary applications and sustainable paper/packaging solutions requires direct, physical interaction with our products and lab team, this position is mostly on-site at our Waltham location. You will work directly alongside our Head of Sales, Head of Marketing and our cross-functional team, gaining direct mentorship and real-time supervisory support while building our commercial pipeline.
Because Folia has a complex sales process, involving workgroups of up to 10, mainly top executives, attention to sales “weak signals”, sales process management, tenacity and a soft-skill for pressuring to keep the pace.
Responsibilities
- Hands-On Technical Product Learning: Develop a deep understanding of Folia’s paper coating technology and microwave reheat food packaging through direct product exposure to effectively communicate value to prospective buyers.
- Sales Outreach & Support: Draft sales materials, qualify inbound inquiries, and assist in preparing sales collateral and presentations for client meetings.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Ensure sales leads, contact databases, and outreach records are kept complete, accurate, and organized. Follow-up windows are recorded and acted upon. Multi-party meeting organisation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact directly with our engineering, lab, and leadership teams on-site to understand how product performance, cost, and packaging sustainability drive real client sales decisions.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or a related field
- Must be able to reliably commute to our Waltham, MA location for on-site hours.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to easily form relationships with persuasive soft-skills. In addition to reaching out to prospects and presenting ideas clearly, can establish a strong relationship with all parties involved, so sales projects move steadily and smoothly.

- Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to bring fresh ideas to the team.
