Social Media & Local Marketing Intern

Paid, part-time · Open to FAU students

Pay: $20/hour · W-2 payroll
Hours: 5–10 per week

Location: Rogers Circle, Boca Raton · About 10 minutes from campus

The Job

We’re a pickleball brand looking for a student to help run our social media and build our local presence—on campus, at courts, and throughout the community.

You’ll work directly with the founder, get hands-on guidance, and take on more as you get comfortable. You’ll learn by making real things: something you shoot in the morning could be live that afternoon.

What You’ll Do

• Create short-form video. Shoot and edit Reels, TikToks, and Shorts at our space, local courts, and events. Phone-shot is fine—we care about ideas, not expensive equipment.
• Help run our social accounts. Schedule posts, respond to comments and DMs, and connect with local players, clubs, and leagues.
• Support local marketing. Help organize demo days, connect with the campus community, and get paddles into people’s hands.

Social media is the starting point. If you’re interested, we’ll also teach you how the rest of our marketing works:

• Meta and Google ads: Put advertising dollars behind content and learn to measure what works.
• Email marketing: Help create customer campaigns and automated email flows.
• AI tools: Learn how we use AI to create ads, emails, copy, and content as a small team.

This learning happens during your paid hours, with guidance and support.

Who We’re Looking For

• An FAU student who already creates content. We’d love to see your own account.
• Someone who can shoot and edit a short video on their phone from start to finish.
• Someone comfortable meeting people and starting conversations.
• Pickleball experience is a big plus. We can teach the marketing side.

The Details

• Academic credit: We’re happy to complete FAU’s internship paperwork and evaluations. Credit is subject to your program’s approval; the position remains paid.
• Duration: Through the fall term, with the option to continue.
• Room to grow: As Spinwave grows, we’d love for this role to grow with it. Future employment isn’t guaranteed, but we’re interested in building a lasting working relationship.
