Strategic Enterprise Development Intern

An Exceptional Executive-Level Learning Opportunity

Food for Health® is selecting an unusually capable student for direct exposure to enterprise business development, strategic partnerships, and executive decision-making.

This is not a conventional internship. You will work alongside experienced company leaders and participate in the actual process of identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with major prospective customers and strategic partners.

You will have opportunities to observe and participate in meetings with C-suite, executive-suite, and vice president-level leaders from Fortune 500 to Fortune 5000 companies. Few college students receive this level of access to accomplished executives, consequential business discussions, and the inner workings of enterprise customer development.

Your primary responsibility is to learn and schedule qualified introductory meetings with senior decision-makers. You will be taught consultative selling methodologies and learn how to research major organizations, identify executive priorities, initiate credible conversations, ask intelligent questions, communicate enterprise value, and advance relationships through a sophisticated business-development process.

No previous sales experience is required. Selection is based on potential, personal attributes, ambition, judgment, communication ability, discipline, and the capacity to represent Food for Health® credibly among senior executives.

You will not be limited to observing from the sidelines. As your skills develop, you can earn greater responsibility, participate more actively in executive conversations, and communicate directly with senior leaders on behalf of Food for Health®.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze existing prospects and create an individual strategy for enagemetn with each one. 
  • Initiate thoughtful, professional outreach through email, LinkedIn, telephone, referrals, events, and other approved channels.
  • Earn and schedule qualified introductory and discovery meetings.
  • Prepare concise executive and company intelligence briefs before meetings.
  • Participate in selected customer, partner, and internal strategy meetings.
  • Observe how experienced leaders conduct discovery, establish credibility, communicate value, and advance complex relationships.
  • Draft and refine executive outreach, meeting requests, follow-up communications, and strategic summaries.
  • Maintain complete and accurate contact, activity, meeting, and opportunity records in the company’s CRM.
  • Track outreach activity, responses, scheduled meetings, and opportunity progression.
  • Represent Food for Health® with confidence, discretion, accuracy, preparation, and integrity.

Experience Is Not Required

Previous business-development experience is not required.

Highly Desirable Capabilities

Experience with the following is highly desirable but not required:

  • Marketing, communications, advertising, or public relations.
  • Customer relationship management systems.
  • Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • LinkedIn and professional networking.
  • Executive and company research.
  • Artificial intelligence tools, including Microsoft Copilot.
  • Prospecting, telephone outreach, email outreach, or appointment scheduling.
  • Writing persuasive communications and presentations.
  • Data organization, campaign tracking, and pipeline reporting.
  • Healthcare, nutrition, grocery, technology, SaaS, or consumer markets.

Who Should Apply

Selection is highly competitive. Access and responsibility are earned through preparation, judgment, professionalism, execution, and results.

Commission/Bonus/Equity

You will be eligible for performance-based compensation, bonuses and equity as an independent contractor ranging from 5% to 20% of the net revenue from each sale depending upon your level of involvement. Sales revenue can range from $1,000 to >$1,000,000, averaging in the low 6 figures.
