Growth Marketing Lead

Growth Marketing Lead

AI-Native Education Search Engine Startup

Part-time · 20 hours per week · NYC hybrid preferred; remote candidates welcome

About Snowday

Build your creative portfolio, lead a team, and work directly with Snowday’s founder and CEO—a Stanford Graduate School of Business MBA and Williams College graduate. You’ll get direct mentorship and the chance to put your ideas into market at an AI-powered education startup helping high school students discover summer programs, internships, research opportunities, competitions, and courses.

Snowday already serves 40,000 monthly users. We’re raising a $1.5 million investment round and aiming to reach 250,000 monthly users—and you’ll help shape how we get there. Create content people want to share, test ideas with a real audience, and build a track record of work you can point to. You’ll gain firsthand experience in how a startup attracts users, learns from results, and grows.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a hands-on Growth Marketing Lead to create engaging social content and manage a small team of high school interns. You’ll help more students discover Snowday by turning ideas into compelling posts, guiding interns from project brief to finished work, and using performance data to improve what we publish.

You’ll work directly with the founders to set priorities and explore additional growth projects across influencer partnerships, search, and community outreach. Together, we’ll agree on a focused, manageable set of priorities within your 20-hour week.

What You’ll Own

  • Intern leadership: Manage and mentor high school interns, serving as their main point of contact on Wednesdays. Set clear briefs, assign work, track progress, give constructive feedback, and hold the team accountable for quality and deadlines.
  • Social and community content: Create and oversee content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and relevant online communities. Own the publishing calendar and scheduling of social and promotional content.
  • Paid campaigns: Plan, create, launch, and monitor ads and boosted posts across selected platforms; use performance data to improve creative, targeting, and spend.
  • SEO and AEO: Identify opportunities through site audits, keyword research, search trends, and content gap analysis. Expand search-optimized lists and community or organization pages, and track visibility in search and AI-generated answers.
  • Influencers and partners: Support outreach, negotiation, campaign coordination, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Analytics and collaboration: Maintain a weekly Social Media Progress Report and SEO/AEO reporting. Turn results into recommendations, and work with product, data, and growth teammates to improve user acquisition.

What You’ll Bring

  • Successful candidates will have thoroughly familiarized themselves with Snowday's site, audience, and mission, and be able to articulate a general vision of growth and marketing strategies tailored to those. Familiarity with our work may be shown by a particular understanding of our site's best features, areas for opportunity, and various audiences.
  • Experience leading people or projects, formally or informally, with the ability to delegate, coach, and keep a small team moving. Club leadership, project management, and other relevant experience count.
  • Strong communication and organization: you can run productive meetings, give clear feedback, manage competing priorities, and follow through on commitments.
  • Initiative and sound judgment: you’re comfortable working independently, finding opportunities, and taking ownership when the path isn’t fully defined.
  • Familiarity with major social platforms, especially Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, and a feel for content that connects with its audience.
  • Curiosity about growth marketing, startups, education, and creator communities, with an interest in marketing, communications, business, media, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
  • Comfort with digital and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, or Canva AI, plus a willingness to learn unfamiliar tools, including GitHub, quickly.
  • An analytical mindset and interest in understanding how Snowday’s product, data, and other teams contribute to growth beyond your immediate responsibilities.

Bonus experience: SEO or answer engine optimization (AEO), influencer marketing, content creation, paid social, or marketing analytics platforms.

What We Offer

  • Meaningful ownership of growth projects and direct responsibility for a team.
  • Close collaboration with and mentorship from founders, marketers, and operators, with exposure to growth strategy and startup scaling.
  • The opportunity to shape how students discover educational opportunities online.
  • A Midtown Manhattan office near Bryant Park, with startup community events, snacks, and drinks.

Location Requirements: We prefer someone who can join our team in Midtown Manhattan near Bryant Park most Wednesdays, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., to work directly with our high school interns. The remaining weekly hours combine in-person and remote work. If you’re only available remotely, we still encourage you to apply and discuss a workable arrangement.

Compensation: Paid part-time role; rate to be confirmed.
