Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Community Boating is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support our digital marketing, communications, and event initiatives. This part-time role works closely with the Director of Community Relations and plays a hands-on role in telling Community Boating’s story through content, campaigns, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Content

  • Draft, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms to maintain consistent visibility
  • Monitor and engage with audiences online, responding to comments and messages
  • Capture and edit photos and short videos highlighting programs, events, and community impact
  • Create graphics and promotional materials for campaigns and events

Email & Website Support

  • Assist with drafting, formatting, and sending email newsletters and announcements
  • Keep website content current with program updates, events, and news
  • Provide copywriting support for digital and print materials

Event Marketing & Coverage

  • Support promotion of events through digital and social channels
  • Provide on-site event coverage, including photography and live posting
  • Assist with event logistics, set up, break down, etc.
  • Assist with post-event follow-up communications and content recaps

Analytics & Administrative Support

  • Track basic performance metrics for social media, website, and email campaigns
  • Compile reports to help inform future outreach and engagement
  • Maintain an organized library of marketing assets
  • Coordinate with program staff to gather stories, photos, and highlights

Job Requirements

  • Sailing experience preferred
  • Interest or experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field
  • Strong writing, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working with social media platforms, email tools, and basic design software
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends
  • Able to pass a background check
