Human Resources Coordinator - Athletics - HR Coordinator Reports

Summary of Job Duties:

The Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) plays a crucial operational role in facilitating various human resource transactions, projects, tasks, and ad hoc requests for the institution. The HRC is critical in ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient day-to-day operations. The HRC will provide consultative support to the Sr. Human Resource Partner - Athletics. They will analyze and interpret reports to make recommendations to the HRPs to support decision-making processes for the units; monitor completion of compliance documentation, requirements, and trainings; maintain and update accurate employee records in HRIS; address tier-one employee queries; generate ideas for improvement and identify trends by maintaining and generating reports proactively and seeking solutions, coordinating the roll out and change management of new programs such as onboarding, performance management and systems implementation, identify areas for greater collaboration for HR to drive greater speed, accuracy, and ease on the partner. 

Other duties may include, but would not be limited to coordinating position management activities, evaluating and documenting HR processes, recommending operational improvements, managing recruitment and position posting activities, facilitating organizational structure changes, supporting workforce planning initiatives, delivering training, and serving as a resource during organizational and transformational change efforts. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, sound judgment, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to build effective relationships across the institution.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field

Equivalencies will be considered in lieu of degree

  • One year of experience in human resources or related field
  • Experience with Human Capital Management Systems such as Workday


Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in Human Resources, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
  • At least three years of progressively responsible experience in human resources or a related field

  • Knowledge of HR fundamentals, including data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests efficiently
  • Ability to interpret and apply HR policies, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to analyze workforce data and develop recommendations that support business objectives
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, managers, and leadership regarding complex HR matters
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while exercising sound judgment and discretion
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, service-oriented environment


Salary Information:

$56,126 - $60,700
