Buzz Builder (Public Relations Intern- Remote)

The Short Version

Our founder has a great story. Your job is making sure more people hear it.

About Your Home Page

Working here means life inside an early-stage startup: a small team, fast decisions, and real ownership from day one. There's no ladder of approvals to climb — if you have an idea worth testing, you're pitching it to the team and trying it out that same week. You'll wear more than one hat, priorities can shift day to day, and progress is measured by what actually ships, not hours logged. Interns get real projects instead of busywork, and it's common to see something you built go live to real customers within days. We love using AI and are not afraid to use it to 10x our work.

Your Home Page is a platform that turns social media into a place people can actually shop for homes. Carter is a former real estate agent turned SaaS founder, building the tools he wished he'd had when he was working with buyers and sellers every day.

The Role

Carter is a former real estate agent turned SaaS founder with a story worth telling: leaving a successful real estate career to build the platform he wished existed. As Public Relations Intern, you'll help get that story — and the Your Home Page story — in front of more people. You'll research media targets, draft pitches, manage outreach, and help build a press presence from scratch.

What You'll Do

  • Research a target list of podcasts, publications, newsletters, and events relevant to real estate, proptech, and startups
  • Draft pitch emails for Carter and Your Home Page
  • Manage follow-up cadence for outreach so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Prepare briefing docs ahead of interviews and guest appearances
  • Build and maintain a press kit
  • Track media coverage and mentions

What You'll Walk Away With

  • Real media placements you can point to
  • Working media lists and pitch templates
  • Experience running a full PR cycle, from research to placement
  • Comfort writing cold outreach that actually gets replies

Who We're Looking For

  • Currently enrolled student
  • A strong, warm professional writing voice
  • Organized enough to track 50 conversations at once without dropping any
  • Not discouraged by silence — most pitches don't get a reply, and that's normal
  • Bonus: experience with media databases or campus PR work

Preferred Majors

Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Political Science, Media Studies

The Details

  • Fall 2026 (September - December)
  • 100% remote, U.S.-based
  • Part-time, 5-20 hours per week
  • Unpaid, eligible for academic credit
  • Weekly team check-in plus a monthly 1:1 with Carter

How to Apply

Apply through Handshake with:

  1. Your resume
  2. A short note (150 words max) telling us about your career goals. Skip the formal cover letter or AI slop. We'd rather hear how you actually talk and how we can help you achieve your career goals.
  3. A link to something you've made. A portfolio, a social account you run, a class project, a spreadsheet you're weirdly proud of, a TikTok that did numbers, a school project. Anything. If you don't have one, share a company that inspires you and why.

We review applications on a rolling basis and reply to every applicant. Questions? Email hello@yourhomepage.ai.

Want to show us you read the entire job description? Email us & introduce yourself.

Your Home Page is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of every background, and we especially encourage students who don't see themselves in traditional tech job postings to apply anyway.

  • Location: 100% remote. Work from anywhere in the U.S.
