Journalism Internship Overview

Do you see journalism as more than reporting events—as a way to help communities understand the economic, business, and global forces shaping their future?

I.R.D.I. Business Group® LLC is seeking motivated Journalism Interns who want to develop their voice through real-world reporting. Interns will research and report on economic development, American industry, global commerce, business activity, and issues affecting communities throughout their state.

As a member of our Journalism team, you may engage with industry organizations, businesses, public institutions, community stakeholders, and other news sources to identify developments, gather information, and produce relevant, well-researched content. The experience strengthens reporting, interviewing, research, source development, professional communication, and the ability to translate complex economic issues into clear, meaningful stories.

Through our national and global engagement, interns gain a broader perspective on how local developments connect with larger economic and industry trends—developing the experience and professional fluency to contribute with confidence wherever they take a seat at the table.

We proudly encourage applications from U.S. military personnel, veterans, and students from military families who are pursuing journalism, communications, or related fields.

Interns who successfully complete the Skills Confirmation Process will receive a Letter of Recommendation from the President of I.R.D.I. Business Group® LLC documenting demonstrated skills and proficiency at the conclusion of the 2026 semester.

If you believe journalism can inform communities, strengthen understanding, and bring greater visibility to the industries and economic developments shaping America, we invite you to bring your perspective to the table.

Join the I.R.D.I. Business Group® LLC Journalism Internship Program. Bring your voice forward—and put it to work.
