Social Media & Production Assistant

Run The Show is a holistic basketball player-development company based in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. After opening our first facility three years ago, we expanded to Twinsburg, Ohio, in May 2025. Our Northeast Ohio branch works with several surrounding school districts and programs, including Orange, Westlake, Hudson Youth, Solon Youth, and Mayfield Heights Rec,  we conduct our own Nike Basketball Camps and train dozens of college and professional players including NBA players.

Our founders have coached at the NBA and Division I college levels, and our staff includes former NBA/G League coaches and college players. We train talents from the professional level all the way down to the youth. We currently have 13 full-time coaches on salary.

We also operate a full-service production company that provides an immersive storytelling experience on and off the court for our partner programs, schools, and players. From long-form documentaries to quick-hitting reels, we combine professional-grade photography and videography with exclusive, broadcast-like access to deliver digital coverage you can’t get anywhere else in the grassroots space.

Spotlight’s Director of Production is Spencer Davies, a 13-year sports media veteran who has been a beat reporter for the Cleveland Cavaliers and in NBA locker rooms for over a decade – behind and in front of the camera. His work in production began in 2018 with CloseUp360, most recently collaborating with Isaac Okoro and his footwear company on a mini-doc in May 2025. He’s received producer credit on projects with CJ McCollum, Cedi Osman, and more.

Testimonials from Past Interns:

My time at RTS has been an excellent opportunity for me to reinforce my foundation in the sports industry, and I’m extremely grateful for the time I have spent at the facility assisting as a summer intern. My main takeaway from RTS that will bolster my career once I graduate was learning effective marketing strategies and being able to implement these ideas on the RTS Instagram page. Seeing my work bring in new clientele for the facility made me feel like an important part of the staff who had an actual impact on the company, and I can’t keep thanking George for giving me the chance.

My time at Run the Show gave me a number of skills I will take with me into my future endeavors. The first is hands-on athlete and coach interaction, where I learned how to communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and parents alike, which will help me in any future sports organization where relationship building is a key to success. Another skill I learned is event coordination. Even though I didn’t help plan the workouts, I was able to observe how to plan, organize, and execute specific activities on schedule, the same skills that are needed for managing games, tournaments, or other live events. I also gained valuable skills in adaptability. In sports, no day is ever the same, so being able to view my peers’ adaptability in a sports environment was very beneficial. Finally, I learned some facility management experience. Keeping the facility organized, safe, and clean mirrors the operational work required in large-scale venues.
