About Swelly
Swelly is a fast-growing family lifestyle brand on a mission to make water play unforgettable.
Our hero product, the Swelly Underwater Scooter, is a first-of-its-kind water toy designed specifically for kids. Our products are already being sold at premier destinations and retailers including The Ritz-Carlton, Miami Beach, East Hampton, Boca Raton, and right here in Winter Park.
We're a two-founder team building the company from the ground up—and we're looking for someone who wants to be in the middle of it all.
This isn't an internship where you'll be given one narrow task and asked to repeat it all semester. You'll get exposure to marketing, e-commerce, operations, sales, retail, customer experience, content, and the day-to-day realities of building a consumer brand.
The Role
We're looking for a high-energy, entrepreneurial self-starter who is excited to learn how a real consumer startup operates.
You'll work directly with the founders and help move the business forward wherever you can make an impact.
What You'll Do
Business & Operations
Assist with day-to-day business operations and administrative projects
Help with inventory, fulfillment, packaging, shipping, and product organization
Assist with Shopify, orders, customer service, and e-commerce operations
Help research vendors, suppliers, retailers, events, and business opportunities
Organize information, spreadsheets, and projects to help keep the business running smoothly
Jump into new projects as they arise—because at a startup, there's always something new
Marketing & Brand
Help develop and execute marketing initiatives across digital and real-world channels
Create and organize content for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, email, and other marketing channels
Shoot and edit short-form photo and video content
Help develop creative concepts, campaigns, promotions, and product launches
Assist with copywriting, product descriptions, email marketing, and brand messaging
Help research trends, competitors, influencers, and potential marketing opportunities
Track marketing initiatives and help identify what's working
Sales, Retail & Partnerships
Assist with wholesale and retail outreach
Research potential retail partners and new sales opportunities
Help communicate with existing retail and wholesale partners
Assist with preparing materials for retailers, events, and trade shows
Help identify potential brand collaborations, influencers, and strategic partnerships
Startup Life
Be willing to do a little bit of everything
Take ownership of projects rather than waiting to be told what to do
Bring ideas to the table and help turn them into reality
Work directly with the founders and see firsthand how decisions are made
Help solve problems as they come up
Who We're Looking For
We're less concerned with having the "perfect" resume and more interested in finding someone who is smart, curious, proactive, organized, and willing to get their hands dirty.
You might be a great fit if you:
Are entrepreneurial and genuinely interested in how businesses are built
Want hands-on experience at a growing consumer brand
Are comfortable taking initiative and figuring things out independently
Are organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
Have strong communication and writing skills
Are creative and have a good eye for branding and aesthetics
Are comfortable learning new tools and technology
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change
Aren't afraid to tackle tasks outside of your job description
Have an interest in marketing, entrepreneurship, e-commerce, retail, or consumer products
Bonus experience: Canva, CapCut, Shopify, social media, Excel/Google Sheets, email marketing, graphic design, photography, or previous startup experience.
What You'll Get
Real startup experience—not busywork.
Direct access to and mentorship from the two founders
Hands-on experience across business, operations, marketing, sales, e-commerce, and retail
The opportunity to take ownership of real projects that directly impact the company
A behind-the-scenes look at building and scaling a consumer brand
Exposure to product development, manufacturing, wholesale, DTC, retail, and brand strategy
The opportunity to build a resume with tangible accomplishments—not just a list of internship duties
Swelly product perks
A fun, creative, entrepreneurial work environment in Winter Park
Why Swelly?
If you're someone who has ever thought, "I want to start my own business someday," this is the kind of experience that will show you what that actually looks like.
You'll see the wins, the challenges, the messy middle, and everything in between. You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, learn directly from the founders, and see your work go from idea → execution → results.
We're looking for someone who wants to learn, contribute, and grow with us.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
