Business Development & Growth Intern
Downstreet Digital is seeking a motivated Business Development & Growth Intern to work directly with agency leadership on new business development, prospect research, sales outreach, and growth strategy.
This is a hands-on internship designed for a student interested in sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, or business development. You’ll get an inside look at how a growing digital marketing agency identifies opportunities, builds relationships, and wins new clients.
What You'll Do
- Research prospective businesses, organizations, and decision-makers
- Help build and organize prospect lists using tools such as Apollo
- Research industries, companies, conferences, and potential new markets
- Assist with personalized email and LinkedIn outreach
- Prepare background research before sales meetings and prospect conversations
- Help identify attendees and target prospects before industry conferences and events
- Assist with post-event follow-up and CRM organization
- Track outreach activity, responses, and business development opportunities
- Participate in selected sales meetings, strategy discussions, and networking events
- Learn how digital marketing solutions are positioned and sold to businesses

Prior sales or marketing experience is not required.
Internship Details
- Fall 2026 semester
- Approximately 8–12 hours per week
- Flexible schedule around classes
- Academic credit available where approved by the student's college or university
- Opportunity to attend selected conferences, networking events, and client/business development meetings
- Direct mentorship from Downstreet Digital's president
Our goal is for the intern to finish the semester with meaningful, real-world business development experience rather than simply observing from the sidelines.
