Project Management Intern

About the Role

The Intern supports the development and execution of Unity Bands’ programs, events, research, and community initiatives. This is a flexible, cross-functional role designed for students interested in nonprofit work, public health, community impact, or organizational management.

Interns will gain exposure to different areas of the organization and are encouraged to explore their interests and gradually specialize in areas where they would like to develop deeper experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of programs, events, and community initiatives.
• Conduct research related to healthcare workers, community needs, partnerships, fundraising, and organizational priorities.
• Assist with outreach to potential community and organizational partners.
• Support project planning, timelines, logistics, and follow-up.
• Develop research briefs and recommendations that help move organizational initiatives forward.
• Collaborate with teams such as Marketing, Research, HR, and Business Development on cross-functional projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing programs or develop new initiatives.
• Take ownership of projects based on individual interests, strengths, and organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate with an interest in public health, nonprofit management, healthcare, community engagement, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organization, and research skills.
• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
