Gap Year Medical Assistant for Plastic Surgeon

Gap Year Medical Assistant and Client Concierge in NYC/Englewood NJ at Hudson Plastic Surgery and Medical Aesthetics

Hudson Plastic Surgery and Medical Aesthetics is excited to be offering a unique full time employment experience in clinical medicine for a motivated individual. You will be joining an expanding team of talented individuals that take time before entering medical school to obtain clinical experience and live in NYC! We are 2 years into this program and have successfully placed our candidates into medical school each time.

This job is ideal for someone that is taking two years to prepare for a career in medicine and would like additional experience to both bolster their application and prepare them for their future positions. The job will involve reception work, medical scribing, instrument processing, and direct patient care under the direct guidance and supervision of a team of plastic surgeons and physician assistants.

By the end of the year, you will be proficient in communicating with clients, obtaining vital signs, managing perioperative patients, understanding sterility and sterile processing, identifying surgical instruments, and much more!

You will also be working with me, Dr Brad Gandolfi, a double board certified plastic surgeon with training and connections at institutions across the US. I take my mentorship seriously and my expectation for everyone who joins our program is involvement in clinical research and admission to medical school.

A majority of your time will be spent in the Manhattan office and surgery center located at 25 5th Avenue. The office is steps from NYU's campus and Washington Square Park in the Greenwich village neighborhood of NYC. You will also be required to work at The Hudson Med Spa in Englewood, New Jersey at times (likely once a week). This location is accessible by bus from Manhattan, and MAs often like going here to take advantage of medical spa offerings.

A 2 year commitment is required. This position is very competitive. Training takes a considerable amount of investment on my part and this is why two years is required. The position will start in June!

We are looking for someone cheerful, reliable, and motivated! Interested parties should contact info@drgandolfi.com and include their CV and a cover letter. Good luck and we look forward to hearing from you!
