Social Media Marketing Intern

Qualifications

  • Must be a current college or university student
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using Instagram, Google Workspace, and spreadsheets
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Enjoys building online communities and working with teens
  • Some experience in design and content creation is a major plus

Somethings is a mental health app that connects teens and young adults with certified mentors who get what its like to be a teen today and are trained to support. We built Somethings because every teen deserves to have real human connection, no matter what they are going through. Somethings mentorship is available for free to youth in North Carolina, New Jersey, and Illinois. 

Our Ambassador program has built a community that empowers teens through social media and ambassador-led initiatives to promote the Somethings app. We're looking for someone who is organized, creative, and excited to help grow our community while working closely with our team.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Help review ambassador applications and coordinate onboarding for new ambassadors
  • Support day-to-day ambassador management, including answering questions, tracking participation, organizing meetings, and helping ambassadors stay engaged
  • Create Instagram content, including reels, carousels, stories, and engagement in our broadcast channel
  • Assist with content planning, brainstorming, and scheduling
  • Monitor Instagram comments, messages, and community discussions
  • Help manage our government/community leadership program by coordinating tasks, check-ins, and communication
  • Research and organize potential partnerships and assist with outreach
  • Prepare meeting materials, presentations, forms, and other operational resources
  • Assist with general administrative projects that help keep the team running smoothly

  • New ambassadors have a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience
  • Our Instagram accounts consistently publish high-quality, engaging content
  • Ambassador programs run efficiently with clear communication and strong participation
  • Ambassador government leaders stay organized, informed, and supported
  • Internal operations are organized, proactive, and require minimal follow-up
