GSU Hospitality and Operations Associate (Paid Internship)

This is not a back-office internship. As a Hospitality Development Associate, you will be embedded in our restaurants, starting at the host stand and moving through the full front-of-house operation with a clear mandate to observe, learn, and ultimately help elevate the guest experience across our locations.

You will work directly with our Director of Operations and be given real visibility into how a multi-unit restaurant group runs. This is a structured, project-based internship designed to qualify for HADM 4900 at the full 1.0 unit/hour rate.

What You Will Do

Beginning at the host stand you will greet and receive guests, manage flow, and learn the rhythm of each location

Observe and document front-of-house operations across multiple locations

Identify service gaps, consistency issues, or training opportunities

Complete a capstone project (a structured observation report or service standards recommendation) delivered to senior leadership

Participate in pre-shift meetings, manager check-ins, and operational walkthroughs

Build relationships with shift leads and FOH staff to understand team culture firsthand

What We Are Looking For

Students enrolled in a hospitality, business, or related program

Genuine curiosity about how restaurants operate at a systems level (not just the guest-facing surface)

Strong interpersonal skills. You will be interacting with guests, team members, and managers daily

Comfort with ambiguity and adaptation. This role involves observation and synthesis, not a scripted checklist

Availability for 20–30 hours per week across weekday and weekend shifts

Interest in growing within a brand that is actively expanding while earning school credit and industry experience.

What You Will Get

Paid internship with competitive hourly compensation

Structured learning arc across a 16-week semester engagement

Direct mentorship from the Director of Operations

A capstone project you own and present to senior leadership

Full HADM 4900 eligibility. Structured internship qualifies at 1.0 unit/hour

Real consideration for a full-time role post-graduation as we grow toward ten locations
