Auditor Intern

Summer 2027 auditor internships available, 30 to 40 hours per week at $25.67 per hour. Overnight travel may be required.

The Office of Auditor of State serves the citizens of Iowa as the 'taxpayers' watchdog". We provide accurate and timely audits of the financial operations of Iowa's state and local governments to help ensure that government is open and accountable to its citizens.

Work is performed in accordance with generally accepted government auditing standards, established by the U.S. General Accounting Office, which includes generally accepted auditing standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Auditor Interns perform financial and compliance audits under the guidance of an experienced incharge. Overnight travel may be required. Mentoring program and continuing education are provided.
