Website Design Intern (Figma, Canva, WordPress & AI)

About the Role

Websites That Elevate is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Website Design Intern to support our team in designing modern, responsive websites and digital assets. This internship is ideal for students who want hands-on experience working with real U.S.-based clients while using industry-standard design and website tools.

Responsibilities

• Design website mockups, landing pages, and UI layouts using Figma.
• Create website banners, graphics, and marketing materials using Canva.
• Build and update WordPress websites using Elementor.
• Assist with Shopify page design and content updates (when applicable).
• Create wireframes and prototypes for new website projects.
• Ensure designs are responsive and optimized for desktop and mobile.
• Collaborate with developers and project managers.
• Revise designs based on client feedback.
• Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to improve design workflows and productivity.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university.
• Basic knowledge of website design principles and UI/UX.
• Experience with Figma and/or Canva.
• Basic experience with WordPress and Elementor.
• Strong creativity and attention to detail.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Portfolio of school or personal design projects is a plus.
