Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated E-commerce Developer Intern to join our technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience working on real client projects while learning from experienced developers.

In this role, you'll support the development and maintenance of high-performing Shopify websites and e-commerce experiences. Working alongside developers, designers, and digital strategists, you'll help transform creative concepts into seamless, responsive, and conversion-focused digital experiences while developing valuable technical skills in a collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Development & Maintenance

  • Assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing Shopify websites and e-commerce experiences.
  • Support the implementation of responsive websites aligned with brand guidelines and project requirements.
  • Help customize Shopify themes, templates, and CMS structures to meet client needs.
  • Assist in building and testing new website features and functionality.

Design Implementation

  • Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into functional, responsive web pages.
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure accurate implementation of visual designs and user experiences.

Optimization & Technical Support

  • Help improve website performance, page load speed, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues, fixing bugs, and supporting ongoing website maintenance.
  • Create and update technical documentation to support the development team.

Integrations & Analytics

  • Assist with third-party integrations, including analytics, marketing automation tools, and APIs.
  • Support website performance tracking and identify opportunities for optimization.

Collaboration & Learning

  • Work closely with senior developers, designers, marketers, and project managers on client projects.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning.
  • Research emerging web technologies, Shopify features, AI tools, and development best practices.
  • Complete assigned tasks under the guidance of a Technical Lead while continuously developing your technical skills.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Recent graduates with relevant academic projects, internships, or personal development experience are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of programming fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with React, Vue, or similar front-end frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control.
  • Interest in Shopify development and e-commerce technologies.
  • Basic understanding of APIs, server-side concepts, and web integrations is a plus.
