Project Management – Grant Writer & Fundraiser Intern

Education Globale et Développement is an internationally recognized NGO dedicated to Peace and Value Education and Global Citizenship. Active for over two decades, EGD works with children, teenagers, and adults across diverse cultural and social contexts, and holds consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. We design and deliver programs that empower young people to become agents of positive change in their communities and environments.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented intern to support our education and outreach programs while helping to secure funding through grant proposals and donor engagement. This role offers hands-on experience in the social impact and education sector, working alongside a passionate, mission-driven team on the planning, coordination, preparation of grant proposals, execution, and fundraising of initiatives that advance Peace and Value Education and Global Citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising & Grant Writing:

  • Maintain a detailed understanding of organizational programs, fundraising strategies, partnerships, and goals to create strong grant proposals that support fundraising targets
  • Research new grant and funding opportunities that align with EGD's mission, vision, and values
  • Prepare grant proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, incorporating feedback, and obtaining approvals
  • Maintain quality results using templates and following proposal-writing standards, including readability, consistency, and tone
  • Support preparation of fundraising pitches and donor presentations
  • Maintain and regularly update a database of donors, partners, and funding opportunities, ensuring information stays current
  • Help draft emails, reports, and fundraising communications
  • Contribute to fundraising strategy and campaign ideas

 

Project Management:          

 

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities 
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure timely task completion 
  • Support in preparing project reports, documentation, and presentations 
  • Monitor project progress and highlight delays or risks 
  • Help organize meetings and follow up on action points 
  • Maintain project trackers and update status reports regularly 
  • Contribute to improving project workflows and efficiency 
  • Support outreach and coordination for events, training sessions, seminars, and community activities.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Project Management, Communications, or a related field 
  • Project management motivation and certain experience 
  • Genuine interest in NGOs, Peace and Value Education, Peacebuilding, or Social impact work
  • Good research and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills 
  • Good communication (written & verbal) and teamwork abilities (English required; other languages a plus)
  • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom)
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace; Familiarity with project management tools (Trello, Asana, Notion, etc.) is a plus 
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines 
  • Flexible team player with a positive, collaborative attitude, and openness to feedback 
  • Prior volunteer, internship, or academic experience in the NGO/nonprofit or education sector is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with self-initiative, with minimal supervision required.
  • Having a disciplined, creative attitude and work culture (this is very important)
