Operations & Project Management Intern

Organizations: Big Day Productions, Go Local Productions, and Go Local FXBG
Location: Remote, with optional community events in the Fredericksburg area
Schedule: 10 hours per week
Compensation: Unpaid; must be completed for academic or approved program credit

About the Internship

We are seeking an organized and dependable college student or recent college graduate interested in business operations, project management, CRM systems, and process improvement.

The intern will support real projects for a nonprofit, event-production company, and community-focused marketing organization. The position is primarily remote, with optional opportunities to attend events in Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, and surrounding areas.

Projects May Include

  • CRM management and data organization
  • Creating contact pipelines and tracking systems
  • Building basic workflow automations
  • Writing standard operating procedures
  • Improving internal processes
  • Tracking sponsors and community partners
  • Supporting nonprofit and intern onboarding
  • Coordinating projects, deadlines, and assignments
  • Organizing files and internal documentation
  • Reviewing records for accuracy and completeness

Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be a current college student or recent college graduate
  • Be eligible to receive academic or approved program credit
  • Be available for 10 hours per week
  • Have reliable access to a computer and internet
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
  • Be comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Experience with CRM platforms, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, project-management tools, automation systems, or data organization is helpful but not required.

Ideal majors include Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Project Management, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
