ABOUT THE COMPANIES
Your Equipment Suppliers and Roll Ice Cream LLC are equipment, training and business support companies serving entrepreneurs, manufacturers and food businesses.
Your Equipment Suppliers is based in Trinidad and Tobago and serves customers across the Caribbean and other international markets. Its content includes equipment education, product demonstrations, customer results and manufacturing guidance.
Roll Ice Cream LLC is a US company serving dessert entrepreneurs through commercial equipment, training, technical support and business education. Its content includes product demonstrations, training material, customer stories and practical business guidance.
Interns will gain experience adapting their editing style for two companies with different audiences and brand identities.
WHY THIS INTERNSHIP IS DIFFERENT
You will edit real business content using provided footage, clear briefs and brand guidelines.
You will receive detailed feedback, build stronger storytelling skills and complete work that may be added to your professional portfolio.
Interns will not be expected to film new content. Assignments will use provided recordings, archive footage, product videos, testimonials, screenshots and approved brand assets.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Video Editing Internship is designed for students seeking practical, supervised experience editing branded, educational, product and story led content.
Applicants may select the short form track, long form track or indicate that they are comfortable working in both areas.
SHORT FORM VIDEO EDITING TRACK
You may edit:
• Instagram Reels
• TikTok videos
• YouTube Shorts
• Customer testimonials
• Product demonstrations
• Educational content
• Business stories
• Event and behind the scenes footage
Short form assignments will focus on:
• Strong opening hooks
• Clear storytelling
• Appropriate pacing
• Accurate captions and on screen text
• Relevant supporting footage
• Clean audio and transitions
• Consistent brand presentation
• Effective calls to action where required
Most short form videos will be approximately 50 to 60 seconds unless the content requires more time.
LONG FORM VIDEO EDITING TRACK
You may edit:
• YouTube videos
• Interviews
• Training videos
• Event footage
• Educational presentations
• Customer stories
• Recorded business discussions
• Longer product demonstrations
Long form assignments will focus on:
• Organising footage into a clear narrative
• Removing unnecessary pauses and repetition
• Improving pacing
• Maintaining consistent audio
• Adding titles, captions, chapters and supporting graphics
• Selecting useful supporting footage
• Identifying sections that may be repurposed as short form content
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
You may:
• Review the assigned brief before beginning each project
• Organise provided footage and supporting assets
• Produce first cuts within agreed deadlines
• Apply the correct guidelines for each company
• Add captions and on screen text accurately
• Use properly licensed or approved music and assets
• Respond professionally to revision notes
• Correct errors before final submission
• Maintain organised project files
• Participate in editing review sessions
• Complete a final portfolio ready editing project
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

You should also have:
• Experience using at least one video editing programme
• A basic understanding of pacing, storytelling, captions and audio
• Strong attention to spelling, timing and visual consistency
• The ability to meet agreed deadlines
• A willingness to receive and apply detailed feedback
• Access to a suitable computer and reliable internet
Accepted software may include Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut Desktop or another suitable editing programme.
Previous professional experience is not required. Applicants must provide a portfolio, class project or editing sample.
