Motion Graphics Editor
Motion Graphics Editor | Role Description
In short
As a Motion Graphics Editor, you'll turn complex stories and ideas into motion that's clear and kinetic. Your mission is to build the visual language of our content, bringing a designer's eye and an editor's instinct to every frame, translating dense or abstract material into work that feels both intelligent and premium. This is a high-craft role for someone with a refined motion sensibility and the taste to make information feel cinematic, working at the intersection of design, storytelling, and contemporary culture.
Your Mission
Own the Motion
- Serve as a key motion designer across our content, from quick-turn social to launch-grade brand pieces, translating raw ideas and creative direction into finished, on-brand motion.
- Shape the visual rhythm of each project, bringing taste in pacing, type, and movement to every frame.
- Handle motion end to end: concepting, design, animation, and clean exports to spec.
Set the Creative Bar
- Uphold a motion language and design system that keeps our output consistent and premium across formats and platforms.
- Take ambiguous direction and return work that exceeds the brief, elevating the material beyond what was asked.
- Build repeatable systems (templates, presets, and component libraries) so quality holds as volume scales.
Partner with Leadership
- Work directly with creative and executive leadership to align every piece with the larger vision for each IP.
- Collaborate with editors, producers, and the founding team to find the clearest, most compelling way to tell each story in motion.
- Move at studio quality and startup speed, balancing craft with the pace of a founder-led slate.
Your story
- You are a versatile motion designer with a quality reel.
- You have proficiency in After Effects, and you're fluent in the surrounding craft: type, layout, color, and the design fundamentals that separate motion from movement.
- You have a refined motion sensibility. You think in terms of weight, timing, easing, and rhythm, and you understand that how something moves carries as much meaning as what's on screen.
- You have exceptional taste in design and pacing, and a strong instinct for type and composition.
- You're comfortable working to music and sound, and you design with the cut in mind.
- You are self-directed and organized. You own your projects, files, and timelines without hand-holding, and you can set the standard for others.
- You are comfortable in a fast-moving, founder-led environment where creative excellence and execution speed coexist.
- You have a genuine love for storytelling and culture. You're as fluent in a great title sequence as you are in the work shaping motion design right now.
Compensation
$75–$120/hr or scoped flat fee per project, depending on scope and experience. Rate is determined at the start of each engagement based on deliverables, timeline, and complexity.
About the Team
Unlimited Range is a production company building a generational catalogue of intellectual property, with credits including Cross (Amazon) and The Greatest, the authorized Muhammad Ali series, coming 2026. You'll work alongside founders, showrunners, and creative directors who care as much about a fifteen-second cut as a feature.
