Role Summary

We're building a next-generation NYC-based social media network focused on authentic local storytelling. Through Instagram Reels and Carousels, we create content across local discoveries, street interviews, neighborhood culture, history, food, lifestyle, and the arts.

We're looking for a proactive and resourceful Field & Community Producer Intern to support the planning and execution of editorial productions across New York City. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building relationships, and is passionate about discovering stories that resonate with local audiences.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the editorial team to evaluate story ideas and assess production feasibility.
  2. Research, scout, and secure filming locations, featured guests, creators, businesses, and community partners.
  3. Coordinate outreach, scheduling, confirmations, and production logistics with external partners.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with local venues, organizations, creators, artists, restaurants, and community leaders.
  5. Prepare production materials including call sheets, schedules, release forms, and location briefs.
  6. Coordinate on-site production, ensuring efficient execution while proactively resolving logistical challenges.
  7. Communicate across editorial, production, and operations teams to keep projects on schedule.
  8. Maintain an organized database of production resources, contacts, and location information.
  9. Identify emerging neighborhoods, events, businesses, and cultural moments that align with our editorial strategy.
  10. Continuously expand our network throughout New York City's creative and cultural communities.
     

Requirements

  1. Strong familiarity with New York City and its neighborhoods, communities, and local culture.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to engage new people.
  3. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  4. Resourceful, proactive, and capable of solving problems independently.
  5. Comfortable working in dynamic production environments where priorities may shift quickly.
  6. Availability to work on-site throughout New York City.

 

Bonus Points

  1. Experience supporting content production, events, field operations, or community engagement.
  2. Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, or other short-form content platforms.
  3. Existing relationships within NYC's creative, hospitality, food, arts, or community sectors.
  4. Passion for digital storytelling, culture, and local media.
  5. Professional working proficiency in both English and Chinese.
