Internship: Audio Lighting Video Live Event Tour Technician

UpLight Technologies is accepting applications for paid, hands-on internships for Nashville-based live audio, lighting, and LED video technicians. The internship supports the 2027 Winter Cheer Competition tour season, from November 2026 - April 2027. 

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age by November 1, 2026 and submit to a background check.

What You’ll Do:

• Build, operate, and strike real audio, LED video, and lighting systems
• Support live touring events
• Work alongside experienced technicians

What It Takes:

• Interest in live event production (not studio or broadcast)
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Availability to travel for a week at a time
• Willingness to work long days for event duration (typically 4-6 days/event)
• Willingness to work at least 4 events throughout the season

What You’ll Get:

• $200/event day 
• Paid travel + per diem
• Real-world experience
• Path to freelance work

This Is NOT For:

• Students interested in film, videography, broadcast, or studio recording
• Anyone looking for a passive internship
• Anyone not comfortable with physical work
