Brand and Social Manager

Unplug & Play Collective Project/Service Description and Responsibilities (illustrative only)

Brand Development: Partner with founders to design a comprehensive brand "bible," including colors, fonts, logos, taglines, website and marketing templates.

Web Design Expansion: Update our website to seamlessly integrate and showcase a new, dedicated section for business events.

Social Media Management: Own the ongoing strategic oversight, scheduling, content creation, and workflow processes for Instagram and TikTok. Grow the followings on both platforms by multiples of 100% consistently over time.

Analytics & Insights: Evaluate Instagram engagement metrics and overall performance to deliver actionable growth insights.

TikTok Revitalization: Build and execute a creative video strategy to effectively engage and grow a younger audience demographic.

Occasionally organize or co-organize events in person in San Francisco and Oakland.

Basic Qualifications:

-Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field with a GPA of 3.3 or higher.

-Demonstrated experience growing social media accounts (Instagram and/or TikTok), with a proven track record of significantly increasing reach, engagement, and follower counts.

-Knowledge of social media trends, algorithm updates, and content creation tactics for Instagram and TikTok.

-Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills, brand alignment, and a clean visual aesthetic.

-Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop) and website builders.

-Understanding or experience of the process for securing features in prominent news outlets.

-Passionate about digital wellness, mindfulness, and building offline communities with a strong desire to grow.

 

Duration/Time Frame: Part-time (5 to 10 hours per week) for 3 months with potential for an indefinite term.

 

Compensation: $20 to $30 per hour, DOE with opportunities for growth for the right candidate
