Intern, Guest Services

The Guest Services internship is a full-time paid (minimum wage) internship position beginning in January 2018 and ending in December 2018. The Guest Services Intern will assist the Manager and Coordinator of Guest Services in maintaining the highest level of customer service provided to all Guests in the ballpark and collaborating on the organization-wide customer service training program. The Intern of Guest Services will assist the Guest Services Manager with the following areas, including but not limited to Customer Service, Guest Services Event Staff, Lost and Found Service, Mystery Shopper, Incident Management and Ballpark Tours. This position must provide exceptional service where Guests and team members are welcomed and appreciated.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist the Manager of Guest Services with any Guest Services issues throughout the year.
  • Assist the Coordinator of Guest Services in preparing event staff communications, time keeping and event day deployments.
  • Assist in ballpark tours, as well as non-game day administrative tasks.
  • Assist with the supervision of team members.
  • Work as command post when needed.
  • Research and collect industry data related to Guest Services.
  • Maintain inventory (uniforms, radios, equipment, promotional items and collateral).
  • Ensure Guest Services locations are set and ready prior to team member arrival.
  • Assist with the mystery shopper program.
  • Inventory management of all lost and found items.
  • Assisting the department in the planning process of non-baseball events. This position includes regularly interacting with a variety of departments within the Organization, as well as external business partners, and will assume additional duties on an as needed basis.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be able to walk up to 6 hours per shift,  lifting of heavy equipment and supplies is required, have a clean driving record, and possess good planning and organizational skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work during games, weekends, and occasional holidays

           

Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:

  • Bachelor Degree and a minimum of one (1) year experience in Guest Services or related field preferred
