Workshop Facilitator

Join Our Creative Facilitator Network

The A.R.T.S. Community Center is seeking passionate artists, creatives, makers, educators, and professionals from a variety of backgrounds to join our growing pool of workshop facilitators. We believe everyone has something valuable to teach, and we're looking for individuals who are excited to share their skills while helping build a creative, connected community.

Facilitators are contracted on an as-needed basis to lead hands-on workshops, classes, demonstrations, discussions, or experiences for children, teens, adults, families, or seniors.

About The A.R.T.S.

The A.R.T.S. (Arts Revealed Through Service) Community Center exists to provide accessible creative experiences that inspire self-expression, lifelong learning, wellness, and community connection through the arts.

We're Looking For Facilitators In Areas Such As:

• Visual Arts (painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, photography)
• Performing Arts (dance, theater, acting, improv, music, spoken word)
• Creative Writing & Storytelling
• Fiber Arts (crochet, knitting, sewing, embroidery)
• Culinary & Cultural Arts
• Fitness & Movement (yoga, aerobics, dance fitness, martial arts)
• Health & Wellness
• Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship
• Technology & Digital Creativity
• DIY & Maker Workshops
• Gardening & Sustainability
• Life Skills & Professional Development
• Cultural Heritage & Community Education
• And other unique creative or professional skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging, interactive workshops.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Arrive prepared with lesson materials and activities (curriculum and materials can be provided).
• Provide a supply list and workshop outline in advance (when applicable).
• Encourage participation from individuals with varying experience levels.
• Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment.
• Collaborate with The A.R.T.S. staff regarding scheduling, supplies, and event logistics.
• Represent The A.R.T.S. Community Center in a professional and positive manner.

Qualifications

We're looking for people who:

• Have experience, education, or demonstrated skill in their area of expertise.
• Enjoy teaching, mentoring, or sharing knowledge with others.
• Communicate clearly and positively.
• Are dependable, organized, and professional.
• Value creativity, diversity, and community engagement.
• Can work with a variety of age groups (preferred but not required).

Teaching experience is welcomed but not required. We encourage emerging artists, entrepreneurs, skilled hobbyists, educators, and community leaders to apply.

Workshop Formats

Facilitators may lead:

• One-time workshops
• Multi-week classes
• Demonstrations
• Community events
• Family experiences
• Seasonal camps
• Open Studio sessions
• Special themed programming

Typical workshops range from 60–120 minutes depending on the program.

Compensation

Facilitators are compensated on a per-workshop basis. Rates will be discussed during interview.

Qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview and added to our facilitator pool and contacted as workshop opportunities become available throughout the year.
