This is a hands-on role where you’ll represent our company both online and in person, gaining valuable experience in recruiting, employer branding, and candidate experience. • Review resumes and assist with identifying qualified candidates.
  • Conduct initial phone screens and provide interview feedback to the recruiting team.
  • Assist with career fair prep including packing/unpacking, scheduling, coordinating team members, and more.
  • Represent FWF at career fairs, networking events, classroom presentations, and other campus recruiting opportunities.
  • Help grow FWF's presence on campus by building relationships with student organizations, professors, career services, and classmates.
  • Share internship and full-time opportunities through campus organizations, student groups, and other appropriate channels.
  • Research campus events, networking opportunities, and partnerships that could help strengthen our university recruiting efforts.
  • Schedule interviews and final rounds with candidates.
  • Collect and organize resumes and send follow-up emails.
  • Occasionally partner with the marketing team on recruiting content and tactics (think social content, event coverage, and employer branding ideas).
  • Jump in on special projects that make the candidate experience memorable and fun.

What we’re looking for:

  • A self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently.
  • An outgoing, approachable, and people-oriented person who enjoys meeting new people and building relationships.
  • Someone who is involved on campus or excited to become involved through student organizations and networking opportunities.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Kentwood, MI with occasional paid in-state travel to career fairs and campus events.
  • Reliable transportation to work required.
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week (we'll work around your class schedule).

What you’ll gain:

  • Real-world recruiting experience, from sourcing candidates to extending offers.
  • An understanding of the recruiting lifecycle from beginning to end.
  • Experience representing and growing an employer brand on college campuses.
  • Exposure to applicant tracking systems.
  • Hands-on learning in employer branding and recruitment marketing.
  • Opportunities to build professional relationships with university partners, student leaders, and local professionals.
  • Mentorship from experienced recruiters and marketers who want to see you succeed.
  • A resume-building internship that sets you up for a career in recruiting, HR, talent acquisition, or employer branding.
  • Provided FWF apparel upon your start date.
  • Access to all in-office amenities and company events.
  • First-hand experience with university and corporate partnerships.
