About the Project: We are developing a cutting-edge Personal Resiliency Platform designed to bridge the gap between financial/legal life continuity (estate plans, insurance policies, asset mapping) and physical disaster readiness (evacuation logistics, threat alerts). Because the platform caters to complex user situations, such as individuals managing multiple properties across entirely different climate and risk profiles, a seamless, intelligent onboarding process is vital.

We are seeking a detail-oriented student researcher for a flexible, short-term contract of 8 hours per week to help evaluate, stress-test, and refine our user intake process.

Expected Responsibilities:

Onboarding Evaluation: Review initial app intake screens, question pathways, and onboarding workflows to evaluate the user experience (UX) and logical progression.

Critical Analysis & Feedback: Provide structured written and verbal feedback on how effectively the intake screens gather critical data points (family logistics, property details, varying geographic hazards).

Scenario Stress-Testing: Evaluate how the questionnaire accommodates varied user profiles, specifically analyzing the logic used to fork pathways for different types of localized crises.

Collaboration: Participate in a weekly sync to present findings, identify friction points in the user journey, and suggest structural workflow improvements.

Specific Skills We're Looking For:

Analytical Thinking: Ability to step into a user's shoes and systematically spot gaps, logical leaps, or friction points in a digital intake process.

Domain Knowledge/Interest: A strong interest or background in emergency management, disaster mitigation, business continuity, or user experience (UX) research.

Clear Communication: Ability to synthesize abstract feedback into actionable, structured notes and recommendations.

Self-Driven: High reliability and strong time-management skills to effectively manage a self-paced, 8-hour weekly contract.

Minimum Requirements:

Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student. (Ideal majors include Emergency Management, Public Administration, Homeland Security, UX/Product Design, or related fields).

Ability to commit to exactly 8 hours of work per week.

Access to a computer, reliable high-speed internet, and a quiet environment for remote video syncs.

Preferred but not required: Familiarity with diverse hazard profiles, cross-regional contingency planning, or multi-property risk assessment.
